Taylor is excited to be a finalist for the 2017 Handmade Songs competition, and will be recording a new single at eTown studios in Boulder. Taylor’s energy is also directed towards putting the final touches on her 2nd studio album, “Twenty Paces” to be released in 2018. This past summer, Taylor was selected to perform at several festivals including the the People’s Fair in Denver, Rhythm on The River in Longmont, Boulder Creek Festival, and Oahe Days in Pierre, SD. She also won a singer-songwriter competition in 2017 as a part of the Teen Creek Festival in Boulder, Colorado and had a live on-air performance and interview with KGNU Radio.
Taylor Shae’s musical journey began in a town with a vibrant music scene, where she was a lead vocalist for several jazz bands and a rock band. She landed her first gig at the age of 13, at a local art gallery, and was stunned by the thrill of performing and the incredible support from her fellow hometown musicians and fans. After success in local singing competitions, Taylor fused her passions of writing and music and began daily songwriting sessions in the spare bedroom of her home. Taylor had no idea what would come of her creative nonsense, until she began to produce original recordings and reach a broader audience. With the ability to observe the human spirit, Taylor finds herself writing through the eyes of others, which is illuminated in the relatability of her lyrics.
Taylor strongly believes that everyone deserves a chance to be heard, and this is evident in her empowering message about being true to yourself. Her debut album has positive underlying currents with powerful vocals, signature harmonies and electrifying bass guitar. Through her current age of 17, Taylor never passes up opportunities to share her music and take chances, which is evident in her debut album, “Something To Prove”.
